Guitar Resource Section
With this section of the site I hope to add some songs
chords, scales, lessons and riffs I
have learned over the years providing the guitar tabs and tips on playing.
The Menu on the right will take you to the relevant areas of interest from chord diagrams , guitar scale tabs,
guitar riff tabs and exercises.
Below is a little information on each of the sections listed in the menu.
The tabs of any songs are
my own work and represent my interpretation of these songs. They are intended
solely for private study, scholarship or research.
Guitar Song Tab Option
This will open a new window where you can choose from the
guitar songs I have tabbed. I have not done many as it is quite time consuming but over
time I hope to tab as many as I can. If there is a song you would like tabbed
please contact me and I will do my best to tab the song.
Clicking on the song title will open a window with the chords, tabs and lyrics
for the song.
In the future I will hopefully put a search option in this but due to the small
number of guitar tabs I have this will not be an issues at this time.
Guitar Chords
In this page I will post up as many
chords and chord
progressions I know, so that you can find the fingerings. This information should help you find
out what key a particular song is in
and will also help with finding out what scale or mode you could use to solo
over the song and will lead into the next option on the page 'Scales'.
Guitar Scales
This follows on from the last section and provides an index
of many useful guitar scales and modes. I have included different patterns for
each scale and this info should be useful for soloing, improv and song writing.
Exercises Option
One problem many guitar players encounter is picking,
fingering and speed issues when playing either the acoustic guitar or the
electric guitar. I have found warm up, picking and fingering exercises have
helped my guitar playing recently.
In this section I will tab some good warm up and other
guitar exercises that
will help your guitar playing. There will also be guitar videos of some of the
exercises.
I have recently made this a main option in the home page of my site as it has become quite popular. Again if there is anything you require help with
please contact me and I will do my best to provide a lesson or exercise to help.
Riffs Option
Just for a bit of fun I will post some tabs of riffs I know
and others have provided over the years. Eventually I will put up some videos or
mp3 files of these to help.
